Abstract

This article provides a theoretical exposition of the incentives for participation in local actions of
Transnational Corporations (tncs) related to the electronic-computer and telecommunications sector.
It proposes to discuss the characteristics that tncs adopt in globalization, whether they come from
developed or developing countries. The discussion is raised in the light of globalization as a spatial
pattern of contemporary capitalism, and its influence on the forms of internationalization of companies
and their localization-placement strategies.
