Cumulative Costs in the Network Expansion with Imperfect Information

Abstract

We study the way in which networks are formed in a model of imperfect information and monitoring in a cumulative connection cost environment. Each agent only observes a limited number of agents and must decide its optimal connection decisions. The optimal connection structure depends on the extent to which the agent can visualize the size of the network.
