Abstract
This paper evaluates the scope of the Sustainable Development Goals from a multidimensional theoretical perspective of well-being. Therefore the paper presents an extensive argumentation of the main theories and conceptions of well-being regarding both subjective and objective approaches, which include Greek philosophical conceptions such as hedonism as well as other objective conceptions such as capacities and fair allocation theory. Derived from the theoretical analysis, the argument suggests that although the Sustainable Development Goals primarily encompass indicators related to the objective dimension, they allow to incorporate subjective aspects of well-being in several goals as well.
